With a team of 25 engineers LASSO provides solutions in numerous business sectors. Using CAE, these specialists model the behavior of mechanical parts under various influences in the early stages of product development.
The Finite Element Method (FEM) is well established in industry. It improves the effectiveness of product development and helps to reduce costs. The services include Strength-Simulations, Fluid-Dynamics (CFD), Multi-Body Simulations, Kinetic-Simulations, Process-Development as well as specific Software Solutions.
Development of in-house FEM-Software and completion of a wide range of projects in various industrial sectors has created a wealth of experience that allows our highly qualified team to solve also your problems.
LASSO in the course of time
The shareholders meet at the University of Stuttgart in the Department of Aerospace Engineering.
Under the professorship of Prof. Argyris, who played a decisive role in development and design of the Finite Element Method, the founders create and develop the FEM-Software LARSTRAN, designed for solving nonlinear structural problems under large strains and large deformations.
1986
Founding of LASSO as a spin-off to further development and marketing of the nonlinear Solver LARSTRAN.
1990
The CAE service is established as an additional economic component of the company and made available for a growing customer base.
1995
The company BETA CAE Systems S.A. is looking for a competent partner for the distribution and support of its software products ANSA and META and finds its first distributor worldwide with LASSO.

The LASSO Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is a innovative company situated near Stuttgart Airport. Our service consists of computer aided engineering using the Finite Element Method suitable for automotive, aeronautical, or chemical industries, as well as for mechanical engineering small businesses. We collaborate with national and international universities, and research organisations on different topics. The distribution of the pre-processing software tool ANSA, is backed up by extensive training (either at LASSO or at the customer site) and a service hotline.
To reinforce and expand our company we are looking to employ engineers with aeronautical, mechanical, and civil engineering backgrounds.
Theoretical knowledge of structural mechanics and the Finite Element Method (FEM), and a methodical approach to work will help you with the challenges and problem solving encountered in this position. Any practical experience with common FE pre-processing software would also be an advantage.
